Back to the new normal

At the time of writing, London is just emerging from the second lockdown of the year and it is fairly safe to say that we are all hoping for a Covid-free Christmas and a 2021 that promises better times than we have seen in 2020. Whether life will ever go back to quite how it was pre-Covid remains to be seen, but with a vaccine on the horizon there is at least a glimmer of hope.

After months of working remotely during the first lockdown, we were delighted to be able to welcome patients back to the practice from mid-July. The admin staff are now physically back at Devonshire Street full-time, and Dr Holdright is seeing patients face-to-face, as well as continuing to offer remote consultations for those patients who either do not want or need to come in in person. Renomee, our cardiac physiologist, is back with us, allowing us to offer our usual range of in-house cardiac diagnostics, and our local CT and MRI centres have also fully reopened, enabling us to arrange swift imaging and diagnosis.

As you will see in any healthcare facility – or indeed in your local supermarket! – there are noticeable anti-Covid measures in place to help keep everyone safe, but we are so pleased to be able to end the year back at the practice, and, to all intents and purposes, to be back to (the new) normal.
